Description

Alloy Solid Tines
These tines aerate without the work of cleaning up the mess of cores and debris left behind with conventional core aerating. R&R Solid Tines are manufactured from a special high-carbon steel bar and heat treated to RC45-48 in our own heat treat facility. They are available in all standard sizes but are especially popular in the smaller diameters for aerating in the summer months to relieve the stress on greens by allowing water, air and nutrients to easily flow into the root zone. With the combination of small holes and no cores, play can be resumed immediately.

Alloy Shatter Tines
With their "+" shape, R&R shatter tines relieve compaction and allow water, air and nutrients to flow in the root zones and beyond with virtually no visible surface disturbance. Because of their unique shape the aerating area is maximized while allowing play to be resumed immediately. R&R Shatter Tines are manufactured from special high-carbon alloy investment castings and heat treated to RC45-48 in our own facility to insure you of optimum quality.

Standard Hollow Tines
Designed to remove a soil core, R&R Standard Hollow Tines are constructed from case hardened tubular steel and are the most economical tines available. Case hardening hardens the inner and outer surfaces of the tine wall to over RC55 for added wear.
R523275 Tine - Hollow 3/8 x 5/8MT x 5-1/2L
R523274 Tine - Hollow 1/2 x 5/8MT x 5-1/2L
R59-3690 Tine - Hollow 3/8 x 3/4MT x 4-3/4L
R523472 Tine - Hollow 1/2 x 3/4MT x 5-1/2L
R201410 Tine - Hollow 5/8 x 3/4MT x 5-1/2L
R201442 Tine - Hollow Hd 5/8 x 3/4MT x 5-1/

Alloy Hollow Tines
Like Standard Hollow Tines, this line is also tubular and designed to remove a soil core, but they are constructed from a special high carbon alloy steel. The steel tubing is specially manufactured for R&R to achieve uniform hardness of RC45-48 throughout the tine for excellent wear and toughness. These tines are much tougher and resist bending in extremely hard or rocky soils and you can expect 3-4 times longer life than from the Standard Hollow Tines.
R201586 Tine - Hollow Alloy 1/2 x 3/4 x 5-1
R201588 Tine - Hollow Alloy 1/2 x 5.5x.072
R201587 Tine - Hollow Alloy 5/8 x 3/4 x 5-1
R201589 Tine - Hollow Alloy 5/8x5.5x.072

Carbide-Tipped Alloy Hollow Tines
The R&R Carbide-Tipped Alloy Hollow Tine construction is the same special high carbon alloy steel tubing and hardened to RC45-48 as the alloy hollow tines, with the addition of a carbide tip for even longer life. The advantage of using carbide tipped tines is the ability to maintain your maximum aerating depth consistently over the life of the tines. You can expect these tines to last 6-8 times longer than the R&R Standard Hollow Tines. Carbide tipped tines are not recommended in rocky soil conditions, as carbide, which is extremely wear resistant, can break when encountering hard impacts in rocks.
R201445 Tine - H Carbide .270 x 5.5x.072
R201440 Tine - Hollow Carbide Tip 1/2
R201447 Tine - H Carbide .350 x 5.5x.072
R201449 Tine - H Carbide .5 x 5.5x.072
R201441 Tine - Hollow Carbide Tip 5/8

Alloy Slicing Knife Tines
These tines allow water, air and nutrients to flow into the root zones and beyond with virtually no visible surface disturbance, allowing play to be resumed immediately. All of these tines are precision machined out of solid high-carbon alloy steel bar and heat treated in our own facility to RC45-48 and carry the same lifetime guarantee of quality as all our other tines.

Hollow Alloy Side-Eject Tines
Manufactured from special high carbon alloy tubular steel with a precision machined slot in the side wall to allow for more efficient core removal in heavy soils. R&R’s unique method of machining maintains the maximum side wall height for strength to avoid bending. These tines are through hardened to RC45-48 to create a much tougher and more wear resistant tine.
R201593 Tine - Hol Se Al 1/2 x 5.5x.072
R201594 Tine - Hol Se Al 5/8x 5.5x.072

Machined Alloy Side-Eject Tines
These alloy tines remove a soil core which quickly exits the side of the tine through a precision machined slot. This slot is designed to avoid "plugging" that can occur using hollow tubular tines (especially the smaller diameters) in heavy soil conditions. R&R manufactures a wide selection of these side-eject tines machined from special high-carbon alloy steel solid bar. These side eject tines are very popular for the multiple tine holders which fit all greens aerators.

Alloy Spoons
All R&R Alloy Spoons are stamped and formed from special high strength alloy sheet steel and heat treated in our own facility to RC45-48. These spoons are all side eject by design for dependable plug ejection and extremely strong for heavy duty applications such as fairways, collars and tees. They are also a great value for your money.
